Awakening Review Great Giveaway LadyBirdLand by Allison Strine Ive been an enormous fanatic of Allison Strines for I-dont-know-to what extent presently, having found her who-knows-when purchasing a pendant of hers for a kick-ass companion of mines birthday. Furthermore, when it showed up in my letter drop half a month later, I grinned and chuckled while browsing the photos. It wasnt until I plunked down with the book (in my comfortable seat with a glass of wine, natch), that I read through everything, embraced it close, and read it once more. What resembles a straightforward picture book each 2-page spread highlights somewhat of a story from Allison on the left page with the picture shes discussing on the privilege is a tremendously moving, sweet, takeaway-filled stumble into the innovative creative mind of somebody who makes reference to her flatulating siblings as the motivation for her specialty on the absolute first page. This is Allisons creative mind (where flying creatures have human feet and grown-up ladies have purple hair!), Allisons take-aways, and Allisons storybut its something worth mulling over/kick-assery for all of us. It makes me wanna purchase em all up as presents for my loved ones ladies who are cheeky, tasteful and somewhat terrible assy while saving one on the foot stool for myself, when I need a chuckle or a kick in the ass-y.
